What is a Stephen Minister? Stephen Ministers are ordinary people who, after training and commissioning, provide Christian care to our congregation and to others in our community. They care for people in hospitals, private homes, long-term care facilities and support groups. They also serve those who are dealing with life issues such as divorce, aging, death, disability, illness, parenting, childbirth, empty nest and spiritual crisis.A Stephen Minister makes weekly visits, listens, offers Christian love, support, and nonjudgemental understanding & prayer. Each Stephen Minister receives special training, ongoing supervision, & continuing education. They are thoroughly prepared to maintain strict confidentiality in their relationships.
