Small Groups . . . transforming a Large Church into Small Communities It's sometimes easy to feel lost in a big church! We welcome you and would like to connect you with a group of other people who really care, who want to grow in faith by your side, and who walk the path with you.
Small groups number between 5-12 adults, and are made up of folks committed to growing in their love for God, each other and people beyond our church walls. Participants pray together, study the Bible together, study biblical principles in life or in secular books, serve their community in some way, develop real Christian bonds of friendship, and even hold each other accountable in their faith walk. This may sound somewhat 'heavy' if you've never participated in a small Christian group before, but groups also include lots of laughter and spontaneous fun in the midst of learning.
New Participants are welcome into any of the various groups here at First United Methodist Church! We look forward to walking with you in your spiritual development. Your great ideas in creating new groups and leadership desires are also appreciated. Groups are active all year and meet at various times, for various reasons and in various locations!
