Rev. Annette S. Pendergrass has been serving First United Methodist Church as Senior Pastor since January 2005. Prior to coming to Ormond Beach, Annette served churches in Orlando, Miami and Jacksonville. She is married to Scott and they have three children, Kyle, Jacob and Daniel. Rev. Jay Therrell was appointed as the associate pastor of First United Methodist Church on June 1, 2005. His duties include preaching and leading worship on a weekly, rotating basis between our church's two campuses, along with oversight of the reaching and growing (spiritual formation) ministries of our church. | with a BA degree in 1983 and from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 1987 with a Master of Divinity Degree. She was ordained an elder in the Florida Annual Conference in 1989. Annette is a Florida native who likes sports, which is a good thing in her household. She especially loves being out in the sunshine and near or on the water, something living in Ormond Beach makes very easy. |

He graduated with a master of divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary's Florida campus and was commissioned as a probationary elder in the Florida Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church in May, 2005. Prior to becoming a pastor, Jay practiced law in the Orlando area for several years. He also has experience serving as an aide to both a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and the British House of Commons. He graduated with a juris doctorate from the University of Florida College of Law and a bachelor of science from Presbyterian College, in Clinton, South Carolina. |
