Take the Next Step
We want to help you connect with God and others. Some Growth Groups are all about learning. Some are all about serving. But you have to purposefully decide to volunteer and participate. Both can be rewarding and satisfying. You will make friends, build relationships and find support and encouragement for your life. For more information about any group listed here, please use our:

Membership at First United supports and nurtures your commitment to follow Christ, but joining is not required to participate in the life of the church; you are welcome here wherever you are in your faith journey.
Step One: Participate in the next New Member Class - email Terri Lynch to sign up. The new member class is a six week growth group developed to help you connect with God and deepen your faith. Weekly classes focus on the key Methodist disciplines of prayer, presence, giving, service and witness which also comprise the membership vows.
Step Two: Recite the vows that you will make to Christ and the church.
After completing the class, you will participate in the joining vows during the worship service you regularly attend.
Financial Peace University
Take control of your money! Financial Peace University is a nine-lesson money class that teaches step-by-step how to make a budget, pay off debt, and save for the future. Generally taught in January and February each year, this class is taught by Dave Ramsey via video and facilitated by the FPU teaching team.
Join us for lively discussions about faith in a casual setting. At Taboo talk, you can ask questions and discuss topics that may seem to be in church! Meets second Tuesday of the month from September to June at the Ormond Beach Brewing Company. Learn more/email leader for directions.
Older Wiser Loving Seniors - OWLS
The OWLS meet the second Thursday of the month from September to June at noon in “The Gathering Place” for pot luck lunch and an informative guest speaker.
